Building Trust: Lessons from Isaiah and Jeremiah
Sundays, June 25th thru July 16th

Building Trust.002Trust is built over time, with many miscues and failures along the way.  And in life’s defining moments, true trust is often put to the test.  But regardless, God is always faithful to His children, and all things are possible through Him who loves us.  This sermon series looks at passages of trust from Isaiah and Jeremiah, and how similar trust in God affects our lives.

  • June 25th –Isaiah 37:14-22
  • July 2nd—Isaiah 55
  • July 9th –Jeremiah 1:4-19
  • July 16th –Jeremiah 35

Listen Again - Christianity vs The New Moral Code

Moralcode.001Today, many Americans are pledging their allegiance to a New Moral Code - one that is free, open, and tolerant to all theology and thought, and is driven by the god of self-fulfillment. If you missed a Sunday or want to listen again visit: St. John Sermons.

The New Moral Code is:

April 30—To find yourself, look within yourself.
May 7—People should not criticize someone else’s life choices.
May 14—To be fulfilled in life, pursue the things you desire the most.
May 21—Enjoying yourself is the highest goal in life.

May 28—People can believe whatever they want as long as those beliefs don’t affect society.

                                          2017 Bible Reading Plan
St. John believes that Bible Reading is important, nourishes, and that God’s Word always has effect.  To encourage people to read their Bibles, LCMS has an online Bible Reading Plan for 2017.  Missing a day or two, or even a week, does not mean failure - the idea is to keep reading, as time permits.
